Great Review

"We were about to move several states away as part of a company relocation. At our move destination, we were already working with a highly regarded buyer agent so we asked him to hit up his network for top recommendations for a seller agent in the New Castle-Bear area. He gave us the names of three candidates and Team Freebery was one of them. After interviewing these agents, we concluded that Karen and Steve of Keller Williams were the strongest option.

We based this on several criteria:

1) They gave the most balanced estimate of a selling price taking into account present market conditions, the condition of our house, and what we might ask if certain upgrades and prep work were taken care of. They didn’t suggest unrealistic things (such as renovating the kitchen) but rather economical and impactful actions that would maximize the return on investment.

2) They had the most comprehensive communications and marketing package. They made use of the existing realtor information systems as well as an amazing portfolio of web-based and social media. This was impressive to us as no other realtor we spoke with came anywhere close to their capability to get our house out there in front of people and agents.

3) They were able to refer us to competent and cost effective service providers (such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical) to help us on all our prep and inspection needs.

4) They really listened to us and adopted our needs as their needs. They gave us the confidence that this endeavor was ours, based on our sensitivities and priorities, and they reflected the realities of the market and the process onto that. In other words, they worked with us, for us, and because of us and we felt that they were fully in our corner.

Once our house went on the market, it went under contract very quickly. This demonstrated that Team Freebery’s advice on pricing, upgrades and repairs, and presentation was perfectly on target. In fact, I think we had the eventual final offer in the first week of showing. We can’t express how much of a relief this is to a family that has to find a house and pick up and move. They really put our minds at ease. Karen and Steve know the area, the comps, the buyer types, and more. In a word, their experience and knowledge of all the factors leading to a quick and successful sale was impressive, current, and incredibly accurate. Also important to note is that Steve and Karen are complementary and bring slightly different perspectives and knowledge so that together, you’re getting more than any single agent could provide.

As it sometimes turned out, there can be bumps along the way and in our case, some questionable actions taken on the buyer side put the deal at risk. It was a scary and infuriating time but through it all, Karen and Steve were on our side, holding our hands, gathering all the information that we needed to understand the situation, and fighting, fighting, fighting for us as if the world depended on it. These guys were bulldogs. They were pit bulls. As someone said of the United States, you could not have a better friend nor more fearsome opponent than the USA, or in our case, Team Freebery. In the end, the closing didn’t slip a single day, we weren’t out any money, and, ultimately, the deal completed flawlessly.
